Into The Mirror Black

When the "Year sun died" was announced I was hyped to find all original Sanctuary's album. The loss of Nevermore and the not few years since the Dane's album was released, were burning as opend wounds. The only chance I had to listen at his voice once again was to seek and buy this album first and this I did. Here we have a very simple edition made in the old way: plastic case, small booklet with short band footage, lyrics and amen, L.I.P. Listen in peace: the Golden age of Dane's voice, the Golden age of heavy metal: acid and melodic, romantic and irriverent as these songs are. If there is a reason why I was not satisfied by the new Sanctuary album is the old sanctuary's albums and this one especially. Two songs on all Future Tense and The Mirror Black are enough to point a discussion about the quality of the inspiration in their last album. We're in a modern time made of polite bombastic sounds and high tech registering solution but believe me, not a single note can be hyped enough if there's not true inspiration growing as pure istinct of living times. This is "Into the Mirror black" an old-new son of its time; son of the typical sound of its time. A marvellous old-new journey when the sun was not yet dead.
