Description: | 'Brutal Youth' (1994) is the first album since 'Blood And Chocolate' (1986) Costello recorded with the Attractions with Nick Lowe featuring on half of the album. Elvis picked up an electric guitar and began writing rock n' roll songs again. The result, 'Brutal Youth', an impressive collection of rock and pop that that proves that Costello hadn't forgotten how to write a loud tune and to being one of the greatest lyricists in rock music. The album features some great rockers like "Pony St.", "13 Steps Lead Down", "Just About Glad" and "My Science Fiction Twin" are all loud and robust songs that sound like classic Elvis. The piano ballad "Favourite Hour" might just be the album's highlight (or is it one of 15 highlights?) and a beautiful way to close the album., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Bass: Bruce Thomas, Bass: Nick Lowe, Design: Eammon Singer, Design: Michael Krage, Drums, Percussion: Pete Thomas, Engineer [Assistant At Olympic]: Julie Gardner, Engineer [Assistant At Pathway]: Justin Underhill, Engineer [Assistant At Sound Factory]: John Paterno, Engineer [Assistant At The Church]: Pascale Giovetto, Mastered By: Bob Ludwig, Photography By [1993]: Amelia Stein, Photography [1958 And 1963]: Lillian And Ross MacManus, Piano, Organ, Harmonium: Steve Nieve, Producer: Elvis Costello, Producer: Mitchell Froom, Recorded By, Mixed By: Tchad Blake, Vocals, Guitar: Elvis Costello, Words By, Music By: Declan Patrick Aloysius Macmanus, Written-By: Elvis Costello, Bass: Elvis Costello, Bass: Elvis Costello, Piano: Elvis Costello, Labelcode MOCCD14252 (MOCCD14252, 8718627235478), Copyright (c) Music On CD, Phonographic Copyright (p) Warner Records Inc., Recorded At Olympic Studios, Recorded At Pathway Studios, Recorded At The Church, London, Mixed At The Sound Factory |
