This version of Call My Name comes as a 1xCD. - W/BONUS TRACKSDigitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1967 album from the Soul/Blues vocalist. Etta James is one of the greatest-ever singers of Soul and R&B, male or female. Her glory years were spent with Chess Records of Chicago, for whom she released 13 marvelous albums between 1960 and 1975. Curiously, fewer than half of them have ever been reissued in their entirety on CD. We are delighted to help rectify that shameful oversight with this first-time reissue of Etta's superb Call My Name album with many bonus tracks. Kent Records.Tracks 1 to 12 were recorded December, 1966, at Ter Mar Studios, Chicago.
Tracks 13 to 20 were recorded in 1967 - 1968, at Rick Hall's Fame Studio, Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Tracks 21 to 23 were recorded April 29-30, 1969, at Sam Phillips' Memphis Studio.
Track 24 was recorded June 10, 1969, at Ter Mar Studios, Chicago.
All tracks Stereo except 13 to 20 Mono.
No songwriter credits are given for tracks 15 & 17.
