Garoad is an independent video game composer and musician from the United States. He has been creating music for over a decade, with his first major release being VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action in 2016. His work often combines elements of jazz, funk, hip hop and electronic music to create unique soundscapes that are both nostalgic yet modern at the same time.
Garoad's musical style can be described as "chillwave", which blends together various genres such as ambient electronica, chillout lounge beats and dreamy synthpop melodies into one cohesive package. This combination creates a distinct atmosphere that evokes feelings of nostalgia while still sounding fresh enough to appeal to contemporary audiences who may not have experienced similar sounds before hearing Garoad’s compositions. The artist himself describes this type of production process as “a kind of alchemy between old school vibes & new age technology".
In addition to producing original works under his own name (such as 2018's 'The Red Strings Club' soundtrack), he also produces remixes or covers other artists songs - most notably those by Japanese composers like Yuzo Koshiro or Hirokazu Tanaka – giving them more depth than their originals had previously possessed through clever use of instrumentation choices combined with creative arrangement techniques . As well providing additional insight into how these classic tunes were originally composed , it allows listeners unfamiliar with 8/16 bit chiptune aesthetics gain appreciation for its charm without having any prior knowledge about what makes up said genre .
Overall , Garoad stands out among many current musicians due largely in part because he manages combine multiple styles within each track ; blending retro influences alongside futuristic ones seamlessly so they don't feel jarring when heard side by side but rather complimenting each other instead . Furthermore , even though some tracks might take inspiration from older sources there always something novel added on top make sure listener doesn't get bored too quickly; making him stand apart amongst peers whose output tends become repetitive after awhile if no effort made keep things interesting throughout entire album cycle . All these factors come together form truly special experience whenever someone listens anything produced / remixed / covered by him regardless whether familiar source material used not
